What SEO actually means for a Winchester business
Take the mystery out of it and search engine optimization is three things. Your Google listing is complete and correct. Your website says, in plain words, what you do and where you do it.
And other real places on the internet point at you. That's it. Everything an SEO company sells you is one of those three, done well or done badly.
In a town this size the competition for most searches isn't national. It's the four or five businesses in your trade between the bypass and Main Street. Most of them have a half-finished Google listing and a website that hasn't been touched since it went up.
You don't need to beat the internet. You need to be the one whose hours are right and whose phone number works when somebody taps it.
What I do, page by page
I don't sell "packages." I sell the work, priced per piece, so you can see what you're buying.
- On-page SEO is $125 a page: the title Google shows, the description under it, the headings, the words on the page, the image text, and the links between your pages. A five-page site usually lands at $625.
- Cleaning up your listings across the directories that already have you wrong is $250, once.
- If your Google listing was never claimed or was set up in a hurry, doing it properly is $500, and I'll tell you first whether it needs it.
If you'd rather I keep it up month to month, the Local Visibility plan is $297 and covers one platform, your Google listing or your Facebook page, kept accurate and posted to. It's month to month after the first three, with thirty days' notice. Every one of those numbers is on the pricing page and has been since the day I published it.
The honest timeline
Listing fixes can move things in weeks. Ranking a page takes three to six months, and anybody in Winchester or Lexington promising you faster is either guessing or selling something.
Google doesn't sell placement and doesn't take requests. What I can promise is that everything inside your control will be right, which is what actually moves a local business.

What the SEO work covers.
- On-page SEO — $125 a page. Title, description, headings, body copy, image text, internal links. Written for the person searching, then checked for the crawler.
- Listings cleanup — $250. Same name, address and phone everywhere that lists you. Boring, and one of the quiet reasons a business stays stuck on page two.
- Google listing, done properly — $500. Claimed, verified, categories right, services filled in, photos, hours including holidays. Audit only, written up, is $250.
- Real pages for real services. You can't rank for a service you never wrote down. Most local sites list three things and the business does twelve.
- Reviews, asked for honestly. Every customer, not just the happy ones. That follows Google's rules and it's the lever your competitors can't copy.
- A report you can read. What moved, what didn't, what I'm doing next month. Not a dashboard full of numbers nobody explains.

Fifteen clicks in month one, on a brand-new domain.
Full Construction Roofing is a Winchester roofer with a site I built and put live in July 2026. It had no history, no reviews on the site, and no ad budget. In its first full month Google Search Console counted fifteen clicks from search to the site.
That's not a big number and I'm not going to pretend it is. It's a real one, on a domain that didn't exist in June, and it came from doing the boring parts right: a page per service, a real address, tappable phone, correct schema, and a Google listing that matched the site.
